i was thinkin lately about different ways we could handle the buschwacker thing other than the obvious limiting of starts, and i came up with this idea
rather than saying a cup driver can run X ammount of races, we have them go or go home; two fastest cup drivers in qual for busch race can actually run, the rest have failed to qualify
example:
Session: Qualifying
1 Busch Driver 22.675
2 Cup Driver 22.734
3 Busch Driver 22.758
4 Busch Driver 22.850
5 Cup Driver 22.852
6 Cup Driver 22.934
7 Busch Driver 22.988
8 Cup Driver 23.100
the pros are that there would only be 2 at most in each race...rather than, say, 6 in one race and 1 in another. also, since busch will be fixed set, cup drivers would need to build a qual set, taking time from them building one for the race.
some cons are that some drivers could make many races, while others could never qualify for one. theres even the possibility that a cup driver could qualify for every race on the schedule. and for the race itself, the starting grid would be jumbled up from all the missing cars on the grid from cup guys who "missed" it
just wanna see what you guys think on this. the winner of the poll isnt necessarily going to be the rule, but if its and overwhelming majority, then its pretty much a no brainer
and for the party poopers, i put the no-buschwacking option in there, even though i think most people feel that some time racing near experienced drivers will help the rookies.
